We are happy to announce that the documentary Toxicily by François Xavier Destors and Alfonso Pinto and produced by Elda Production and Ginko Film will have its premiere at the 64th edition of the Festival dei Popoli in the #Italian Competition. The film will be screened at the Spazio Alfieri in Florence on Saturday 11 November 2023 at 4.30 pm. "It is better to die of cancer than of starvation," they say north of Syracuse, where one of Europe's largest petrochemical plants has been poisoning the environment and people for 70 years. The documentary Toxicily gives voice to those who survive, those who resign and those who resist in an area sacrificed on the altar of progress, modernity and globalisation.
